the little moments

I’m starting to realize more and more that it’s the culmination of little moments that make up life. Yesterday morning, Ethan helped Terry do the vaccumming. Watching the two of them work together and hearing Terry teaching Ethan the fine art of cleaning, warmed my heart. Not just because my husband is so helpful and kind, but because Ethan was loving sharing this moment with his Dada. Ethan loves spending time with us, it doesn’t matter if it’s cleaning or going to the zoo, the important thing to him is that we are loving him and talking to him and sharing life with him.

Ethan and Seth love helping me cook. I had Terry take a few photos of us cooking together. Looking through the photos afterwards, I could see the look of seriousness and concentration on each of their faces. It really pulled on my heart, to see how intently they each were taking in what was going on. All the more to slow down, and fully experience what they are experiencing alongside of them.

These little moments of shared time are what adds up to be the big thing of life.
